As more mysterious letters arrive in the hospital, Mie and Vronsky try to match up pieces of this mystifying puzzle.
Mie tries to move past the horror she has recently discovered, but she remembers her husband’s jealous and aggressive behavior when he found out about her secretly meeting up with Thomas Spectre. Mie tells Vronsky that Benoit is not to be trusted, and refuses to see him during a visit in the hospital. Instead she surprises her friend with a much-anticipated gift, clearly confiding in him.
Inspector Wolkers confronts Mie with a search warrant and tries to bribe Vronsky for more information about his suspect. Mie opens up to Dr. Mommaerts about terrifying dreams she’s having, but continues to wonder who can still be trusted.
