Sievers and Tabea are taking a leisurely stroll along the beach with their newest family member, their dog Joker, when they spot a hand protruding from the mud by the artificial oyster beds. The dead man is Wolf Voss, owner of the best oyster restaurant on Sylt. The fact that he was found in oyster farmer Tomke Bundis’s territory catches Sievers’s attention. Apparently, Voss had been helping himself to her oysters more than once.
