Garth’s cunning cousin Rodney is visiting him, and is mightily bothering Sasha as well as Garth. When Garth lets him into Elizabeth’s lab, Rodney is bitten by a poisonous spider and becomes half a spider himself. The spiders are a special breed of Elizabeth’s and produce a particularly high-tensile web. Rodney goes around spitting at school and ties up not only Elizabeth and her fellow workers with the strong web, but also Toby, Russ and Jack. All the while, he keeps mutating more and more into a spider. When he finally follows his girlfriend Sasha into Toby’s shed, he’s hungry enough to eat her.
