The notary of Michielsen Shipping Co. informs John and Marjan of the financial dire straits the business is in. John realizes he’ll never manage to pay off his debt if he doesn’t do something. Meanwhile, his gambling addiction is costing him a fortune. So, he decides to contact De Pelsmaecker after all. They strike a deal, but John has to complete a task first, by way of a test.
