With the raid on De Beco’s site proving a wild-goose chase, the fed-up commissioner decides to pull the plug on Rasha’s investigation. De Beco has fallen in love with Marjan and is aching to take off with her. His emotions are making him more impulsive and less attentive. John hires a small-time criminal to take out De Beco. The murder attempt fails and De Beco kills his attacker in the ensuing fight, making sure John is updated through the grapevine.
