Suspended for a mission gone wrong, Victor Lessard is back on the job. Reunited with his long-time partner Jacinthe Taillon, Lessard leads the investigation of the murder of Judith Harper. Investigator Nadja Fernandez witnesses the suicide of a homeless man named André Lortie, and discovers that a wallet André dropped before he jumped off a roof belonged to Harper. Later that day, an attorney named Philip Lawson receives a letter containing the ominous and unsettling image of a Hangman game. And he finds a DVD in his car, with a voice recording attributed to Lee Harvey Oswald, saying “I didn’t shoot anybody, sir”
