After he worked in Berlin for several years, senior prosecutor Bernd Reuther (Rainer Hunold) comes back to the State of Hesse and investigates among the black sheep of the Wiesbaden society. Even today he is haunted by the memories of a car accident he caused years ago, where he killed a young woman and his wife got seriously hurt. His investigations are supported by inspector Kerstin Klar (Fiona Coors) and chief inspector Christian Schubert (Simon Eckert), Dr. Cornelia Engel (Astrid Posner) und senior prosecutor Silvia Heinlein (Therese Hämer).
