Episode 6: Journey of the Emu

For millions of years emus have travelled the lengths of Australia in a never-ending search for scarce food and water. In this episode, we will follow the journey of one male emu on a quest to also find a mate and protect his tiny chicks from danger. Along the way he battles dingoes, eagles, giant lizards, fire and starvation. Emus are true nomads - the only thing they follow are storms, which an emu can spot from 100 kilometres away. Each day will take the male one step further into the unknown.
