Josephine Gill has moved into a lovely villa on Lake Müritz with her six-year-old son Gabriel and her motherly friend Edith and will soon be opening her restaurant, the Water Lily. Her husband, the famous Michelin-star chef Johann Gill lost his life a year before in a motorcycle accident. Her husband had bought the old estate by the lake as a holiday home for his family, and the young widow has lovingly restored it, planning to build a new life for herself there. But even on the restaurant’s opening night, circumstances come to light which seem to threaten Josephine’s existence.
