Veronica Ferres stars in this moving drama about self-sacrifice and its limits. Former boxer Ronald (Oliver Stokowski) has lost his short-term memory following an accident. He can only remember the past, nothing after the tragic incident. His condition keeps him and his family feeling imprisoned - leading a normal life is no longer possible for his wife Annett (Veronica Ferres) and son Constantin (Constantin von Jascherhoff).
Ronald needs constant care and Annett becomes his full-time caregiver. They might lose the house because she can no longer work and no insurance covers his condition.
Annett hopes to get help from attorney Lorenzo Stegmann (Matthias Brenner). A tender romance develops between them. He makes her feel alive and brings a welcome change to her tedious daily routine. Annett loves her husband but must make a difficult decision.
