Jana is getting ready for her husband Alexander’s birthday party. Her housecleaner, Natalia, fails to return from the dry cleaners and is not answering her phone. Unbeknownst to Jana, Natalia’s eight-year-old daughter Anna is still at Jana’s house. The police make an unexpected visit during the party, and Jana lies to them, since the undocumented Natalia was working for them illegally. Later, Jana and Alexander are shocked to find Anna, who doesn’t speak a word of German, sleeping in their home. Jana doesn’t even know Natalia’s last name or address.
