Anne and Erik Merz have been married for a long time when, during couples’ therapy with Dr. Heller, they realize that they actually aren’t in love anymore. Instead, they are just living their everyday lives with their marriage on the brink of collapse. Anne’s father Ludwig has just been diagnosed with dementia.
