Citrus fruits have a long tradition in art and cuisine across the globe. This series, however, goes far beyond the familiar, focusing on the natural environments in which citrus trees thrive as settings for a wide variety of agricultural practices.

In each of the six episodes, one citrus fruit takes centre stage, guiding us through the unique stories that unfold behind the scenes of its places of origin. Each film explores the exotic origins, ecological interconnections and cultural riches associated with these fruits, while also serving as a plea to protect the unique ecosystems in which they grow.
