In the summer of 1944 war torn France reaches a crisis point. At its heart lies Paris - a symbol of liberty and democracy on the brink of collapse after 4 years of Nazi occupation. Though conquered, Parisians are yet to give in. The allied landings in Normandy and their advances through France now offer a tantalizing glimmer of hope. By mid August a resistance led insurrection is underway in the capital in the hopes the allied forces will secure their liberation. As the well armed Nazi forces, under direct instructions from the Fuhrer to destroy the city rather than let it fall, rally together to crush the uprising it appears the allies aren’t coming… Paris hangs in the balance between destruction and liberation until finally Free French forces and allied troops move into the capital and secure a Nazi surrender.
