Mackenna and his gang set a trap for X-19, by letting the Agency know of their plan to steal an Egyptian mummy. Legend has it that all who come in contact with the mummy become cursed. Scooter is sure it’s true since he has been walking around with the mummy’s forefinger (which he accidentally broke off on an earlier visit to the museum) and bad luck has dogged him ever since. Katrina gives him a special device to protect him, but Melanie, still concerned about Scooter’s safety and suspicious about the mission, convinces Katrina to follow him to the museum. Once there, everyone falls victim to fear. Scooter keeps his identity a secret by wrapping himself up in paper towels from the toilet so he looks just like a deranged mummy. The next day the kids discover the museum burned down that night and everything was destroyed except the storeroom – where the mummy lay. Scooter just got away with it again.
