A planned afternoon barbecue with two couples, Bianca & Oliver and Dila & Simon, spirals out of control when Oliver’s boss Lars joins them uninvited and proceeds to a wedge between the friends. Struggling with the effects of a debt crisis, the two neighboring couples are forced to abandon their pretense of harmony when the warped beliefs Lars continuously expresses gradually send each one of them over the edge, forcing them to take a stand.
