Reptiles are like scaly monsters from another time. Relics of a bygone era, cold-blooded and slow. Reptiles are often considered primitive, but don’t be fooled. They can be surprisingly fast, intelligent and even social. We think we mammals rule the world, but reptiles have been here for twice as long, and they are still going strong. Reptiles fascinate and frighten us. We are compelled to try and understand their ancient minds, and as scientists unlock their secrets, the more remarkable they become.
