The History of Mossad

Mossad, the Israeli foreign intelligence agency, was founded on 13 December 1949. It was supposed to guarantee the existence of Israel — the small country wanted to become a safe haven for Jews from all over the world. Mossad is considered to be a life insurance against a second Holocaust. And its agents not only obtain information, but also have a license to kill.

Israel’s threats repeatedly drove Mossad into daring operations that were difficult to hide from the public. Hardly any other secret service came out of its shadow world as often as Mossad. The Israeli administration does not confirm or deny anything. The many legends surrounding the notorious foreign intelligence service are meant to make an impression, especially in the Muslim world — and to deter Israel’s enemies.
