This film deals with German-Polish migration and cultural exchange. From the Early Middle Ages, German and Jewish settlers moved to Poland. In the 19th century Poles were Germany’s first migrant workers. Other waves of migration followed during the Solidarność period and since Poland joined the EU. The story of Poland and Germany is indelibly tied to the Jews, who left a lasting mark.
