On leave from the police after being shot while on the job, officer Marie Lamare hopes to come to terms with what happened. She travels to Brittany, where she meets up with Paul Racine, who had saved her life by providing first aid after she was shot. Paul accidentally stumbles onto the trail of a secret that will change Marie’s life, along with that of her father. She has not seen her father for many years when she encounters him after her injury, and he seems just as unfamiliar to her as her supposed godfather Leon and his wife Claire.
