The World Stands Still
When the images from Bergamo make their way around the world, it becomes clear what exactly a pandemic means. Dr. Carolin Mellau, an intensive care physician in Constance, and her family see their lives turned upside down. Carolin joins the hospital’s crisis team and is on duty around the clock. Her husband Stefan, a clarinetist in a chamber orchestra, has to cancel his concert tour and is no longer permitted to give lessons. Daughter Luzy and son Tim can’t go to school, and their homeschooling situation reveals the plentiful shortcomings of getting an education online.
