When a group of friends from Bonn spend Christmas 2004 on vacation in Khao Lak, Thailand, none of them can imagine the profound consequences their trip will have. It begins as a vacation in paradise for Julia and an eagerly awaited reunion with her sister Alexandra, only to end in catastrophe with the tsunami, which takes Julia’s life. Years later, her family and friends are once again engulfed by a wave of destruction.
