Lucas’ accident has brought Marie and Stefan closer. Marie then learns of Stefan’s daughter, who disappeared in Haiti. She also fears that she might lose her job on account of Florian’s father, who is a member of the clinic’s board of directors. But when Florian runs away and is found by Marie, his parents are grateful and decide not to take any legal action against her. Shirley also fears for her job. Since the theft of the pharmaceuticals has yet to be cleared up, she has been put on an indefinite leave of absence. Lucas is in luck: he regains consciousness. The first thing he does is to dress down Vicky, since he wants to return the drugs that she had stolen. Johanna hears that her husband Thomas has been appointed to the BVG in Leipzig and will hardly be home anymore. Meanwhile, Lucas’ infection is spreading throughout his leg; he may need an amputation (cliffhanger).
