After a long night comes the liberating news: Lucas is doing fine! Although Markus apologizes, Marie is very disappointed in him. Shirley’s dismissal is canceled by Johanna when the cleaning lady Frau Stölzl, the mother of Lucas’ friend Max, is caught with a bag full of pharmaceuticals. Lucas’ guilty conscience towards Max pushes him to lie: he says he stole the drugs! Johanna is shocked – and Vicky relieved that Luckie covers for her. Meanwhile a patient comes to the clinic with his imaginary brother and complains about stomach aches, but does not want to have himself checked. Together with Stefan, Marie outfoxes the young man and diagnoses an appendicitis. She is then allowed to make her first operation. Markus, who monitors her, makes her a second proposal of marriage in front of everybody after the operation.
