Georg Wilsberg is hired by Ferdinand Feldkamp, who feels he has been cheated out of a residential building belonging to his late great-aunt. In her apartment, Wilsberg stumbles upon a body. Chief Inspector Anna Springer discovers that her fellow officer Overbeck lives in the building where the crime took place. A real estate company claims to have purchased it following the death of its owner, Ms. Feldkamp, but the sale was completed without the knowledge of her nephew, who believes he is the sole rightful heir.
