Leipzig’s K14 Homicide Squad, led by Maike Riem, is on its first case. It takes them to the city’s Elster basin area, where the body of former industrial bakery owner Franko Bleich has been found. The suspects of the investigating foursome include not only the victim’s wife Paula and his longtime girlfriend Esther, but also the dead man’s neighbors, who accused him of being a child molester.
