The body of a roughly 75-year-old man is found during restoration and repair work at Hartenstein Castle. He died a violent death more than 20 years ago. Chief Inspector Winkler works with his young colleague Karina and forensic scientist Charlotte von Sellin investigating the case in the neighboring village. Forest ranger Saskia Bergelt, quite knowledgeable when it comes to the castle’s strange history, provides assistance in their investigations once again.
