A dead young woman is found suspended on ropes in a tree in Lütetsburg Castle park, the apparent victim of a brutal crime. Ex-con Dieter Meuling, who had been romantically involved with her, is the number one suspect. Meuling is arrested, but then his lawyer comes forward with some sensitive information. Meuling’s former cell mate told him who murdered Ann Kathrin Klaasen’s father, and he is willing to trade the name for the inspector’s help with his escape.
