Every myth has its heroes. In the Greek saga of the Argonauts, it is Jason, who undertakes an adventurous search for the coveted Golden Fleece. This documentary shows how scholars penetrate behind the myth to find traces of historical facts. They discover that the saga of Jason and the Argonauts possibly depicted the Greeks’ attempt to find the legendary gold mines of the Black Sea. In another experiment, scientists prove that a Bronze-Age ship was able to sail from the Aegean Sea all the way to Georgia.
