Ship of No Return – The Final Voyage of the 'Gustloff'

It is arguably the biggest disaster in seafaring history: the sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff on 31 January 1945. Torpedoed by a Soviet submarine, the German ship sank - sending more than 9,000 people to their deaths in the icy waters of the Baltic Sea. In addition to examining the background leading to the catastrophe, the documentary also probes into some of the unsolved mysteries concerning the sinking of the Gustloff.
