Sandra and Ulrike’s mother slips into a coma following a ruptured aneurysm and ends up on life support. The two women are faced with deciding their mother’s fate, as it soon becomes clear that she will not come out of her coma. Ulrike has a power of attorney for medical care, but their mother does not have a living will. The two sisters could not be more different when it comes to their views about the situation. They gingerly wrestle with the decision, ultimately coming to a heartbreaking agreement.
