Town policeman Martin Manz is well liked throughout his small community. He looks after his elderly father together with Dr. Nachtheim, and he enjoys his life with his very pregnant wife. Yet Martin is carrying a terrible secret. One night, driving while drunk, he ran over his best friend Frank’s daughter, who has been in a coma ever since. The girl’s father continues to do everything in his power to find the driver himself, but Martin knows how to make evidence and troublesome witnesses disappear.
