The Schneider and Pielcke families have lived next door to one another in a quiet suburb for years. Their sons David and Marvin are the same age, they’re friends and they both go to the same school.

A heated dispute escalates between the Pielckes and the Schneiders about what attitude is the right one when it comes to the new powers that be. The tensions of the last few months flare up.

To keep from losing their relationship with their son, the Schneiders slowly open up towards the Pielckes again. The new government was democratically elected, after all.

The Schneiders’ attempt to distance themselves from the Pielckes is undermined by their own son David. He would rather spend time with the neighbors.
