Katrin confronts her boss, Dr. Klingner, and he lets her in on his plans, offering her a surprising opportunity. Yorik, a colleague from the police force, finds evidence in the Garbo case that implicates Dominik once and for all. Yorik gives him an ultimatum and Dominik decides to flee, but returns when Katrin tells him that she is leaving her family for him.
A fight escalates and Yorik brutally beats his girlfriend Freddy. He asks Dominik for help. Dominik pressurizes Freddy into not making a statement against Yorik. In return, he wants Yorik to make the evidence against him disappear.
