Forensic pathologist Mala Murphy is on her way to Jena to start her new position. But even before she is officially on the job, she already comes across her first body: a woman behind the wheel, killed in a crash on a country road. The victim is controversial family court judge Sophie Nöll. Chief Inspector Moritz Herbst has his doubts that it was an accident, and Mala quickly spots signs of foul play. Suspicion now falls on those hit hardest by Nöll’s rulings.
