This episode follows people who were driven by politics and their ideals to commit their crimes – motivated to murder you could say. The first story is 1991 in Sweden – people are being shot with a laser sight, assassinated. There are several bank robberies happening on a bike in the city too – but for each, the robber escapes on a bike. After untangling the web the police find that the killer is robbing banks to fund his killing – targeting immigrants in Sweden.
The second heads to Oregon in 1979 where a prison escapee has started killing in the name of Islam. As cops check databases at headquarters for news of their lead, searchers find survivalist camps, complete with Muslim literature and lots and lots of guns. There are a lot of places to hide in sleepy Oregon but the killer was caught and died in prison in 2003.
