Our multicellular bodies allow us to have rich, fulfilling human experiences that single-celled organisms cannot, yet this comes with a cost: aging. An elderly conductor performs all of Beethoven's symphonies in a single day, evoking that orchestral performance, which is analogous to cells harmoniously sharing roles. While watching his extraordinary effort, we learn that there are some self-sacrificing cellular mechanisms associated with aging, which inspires anti-aging research.
