Hideki Tojo is Prime Minister of Japan from 1941 to 1944. An admirer of Adolf Hitler, he rises to the rank of General and breaks into national politics in 1940.

As Prime Minister in 1941, he gives the order to bomb Pearl Harbour and invade South East Asia. The Japanese army inflict extreme atrocities on thousands of civilians and prisoners of war.

Tojo approves many further acts of brutality and after the US conquest of Japan, attempts but fails to commit suicide. He is hanged for war crimes in 1948.
