7-year-old Alina disappears from her apartment playing hide-and-seek with her father. The girl could still be in the building but corrupt cops and past affairs hamper the search.

A dead cop and a disturbing video featuring Alina sends tremors through the department. Detectives Varta and Shumov need to work quickly, but their pasts are throwing up ghosts.

The video raises more questions than it answers. The detectives are in a race against time as more children disappear. Traumatized by the case, our detectives’ demons near the surface.

A suspected kidnapper demands a huge ransom and a dangerous cat-and-mouse game begins. Another video emerges showing two children holding signs reading «5024» and «4330».

The disappearances seem to be linked to the town’s endemic violence and corruption. The search continues but the investigation falters as promising leads turn to dead ends.

The videos go online causing panic throughout the town. The hunt takes Varta undercover into prison before a third child appears in a video, now with the numbers «3121».

Time’s running out for the kids as the police try to settle their own beefs. When drugs, murder and crime are the reality for those on the fringe, child trafficking is easy money.

The net closes on the kidnapper as our detectives frantically piece together the last clues. Det. Varta knows one of the kids is her lost daughter, but will they make it in time?
