Just recently, Susan moved from New York to Woodstock in the Hudson Valley with her husband Richard and their son Jimi. Richard is taking over a medical practice in the small town, hoping it will allow the family to spend more time together again.
Shortly after their arrival, Susan makes a discovery that pulls the ground out from under her feet: Lucas, a successful photographer and the biological father of her child, is not only in town - he is even temporarily working at Jimi’s school. Desperate to protect her family, Susan tries to keep her secret hidden. But she is also plagued by guilt. Did she make a grave mistake back then by not looking for Lucas?
What would a confession mean for her marriage? And would Jimi hate her for her lie?
Then Lucas realizes who the boy is - the one who seems so strikingly similar to him. By the time Susan finally finds the courage to tell her family the truth, it may already be too late.
