On a country road at night, police officer Ralf Lenze stopped a civilian vehicle, then inexplicably opened fire on the driver, whose wife and daughter witnessed the horror from inside the vehicle. The victim, Jens Falkner, is a successful and well-regarded business attorney who is now fighting for his life in the hospital. When Helen Dorn interrogates Officer Lenze, he can’t give a coherent explanation for his actions.
