For centuries, people have built mythical structures from Tikal in Guatemala, Chichen Itza in Mexico, and the Sphinx in Egypt. In season three of Ancient Superstructures, we explore mysterious structures to decipher their secrets. How and why were they built, why are they significant, and what mysteries surround them? We use aerial and satellite images, with Lidar revealing the terrain to explore each structure before zooming in to examine the materials used and how they have survived the centuries.
