Young emergency doctor Holly Sass travels from Berlin to the picturesque town of Tangermünde in search of her biological mother, who disappeared from the area more than 30 years ago.
She joins the practice of the beloved Dr. Katrin Herz, helping to care for patients while investigating clues hidden in old medical records. As Holly settles into village life and grows closer to carefree boat builder Gregor Seefried, she becomes involved in a puzzling case involving a young mother suffering from memory lapses and severe mood swings. When Holly’s instincts lead her to take matters into her own hands, she begins to wonder whether her own past is affecting her judgement.
