Alicia, a woman from the Basque Country, travels to Chilean Patagonia in search of her missing son. Upon arriving in the small town of Hornopirén, she encounters a pristine landscape where nature remains largely untouched by human exploitation. Guided by the videos her son posted on social media during his journey to find the world's oldest trees - the ancient Alerce - she retraces his steps, following the locations he documented. With the help of local residents, she ventures deep into the dense temperate rainforest where he was last seen. As she pushes farther into the wilderness, she begins to uncover signs of illegal exploitation within the forest, and her hope of finding her son alive gradually gives way to fear.
