Forensic psychiatrists make decisions on the fate of criminals, but also on the security of their fellow citizens. They bear a big responsibility and fear one thing above all: being wrong.
Dr. Robert Siedler is good at his job. He’s empathetic and remote at the same time, he has a lot of experience and proves he’s gutsy. He doesn’t just buckle when faced with criminals, victims, colleagues or work superiors, and defends his own convictions in the face of all resistance.
He’s currently working on the case of Friedhelm Knecht, a mentally ill former alcoholic, who has spent a long time in custody. Robert’s psychiatric evaluation leads to him being released. But soon afterwards a murder is committed that seems to indicate Knecht is the killer.
